Google AdWords is an online advertising platform developed by Google, which allows businesses and advertisers to create and run advertisements on Google's search engine and its advertising network. With AdWords, advertisers can create ads that appear on Google's search results page, as well as on other websites that are part of Google's advertising network.
Using AdWords, businesses can create text, image, and video
ads, select the keywords and search terms they want their ads to show up for,
set a budget for their campaigns, and target specific geographic locations,
languages, and demographics.
AdWords uses a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising model, which
means advertisers only pay when a user clicks on their ad. Advertisers bid on
the keywords they want to target, and the cost per click (CPC) of an ad depends
on the bid amount, as well as the quality score of the ad and the landing page.
Google AdWords has been rebranded as Google Ads, but the
basic functionality and features remain the same.
